These are a few of my favorite things!

The first picture is of Julies shadow box. Then Pennies shadow box. 3rd is a picture signed by the Mayor of Munchin City. I have tons of things from The Wizard Of Oz. THat is a classic movie, even today!! Finally, is Honey. A doll Fisher Price made and still does last I checked that was bought for me before I was even born.

My birthday dinner

Yesterday was my birthday. My in-laws and husband just took me out to Pueblo Viejo in Cleveland for dinner. I had 2 Long Island Ice teas. When we were leaving they came over put a sombrero on my head and whip cream on my left cheek and chin. Also, they put whip cream and a cherry on my nose. It was embarassing yet funny! It will be abirthday that I will never forger. Glad there are not any pictures of it though. It had the whole restaurant laighing!

dr's, Dentists

Well, all the testing and stuff is finally done. I got so irritated bc I feel like they wasted my time, gas, & money. After going there weekly ofr the past month and a half for bloodwork, results, more bloodwork, and ultrasound, and then finally more results. It turns out things are fine. THey would not tell me that over the phone instead I had to drive 45 minutes to hear that my right thyroid is a little larger than the left but that may just be the way mine is. No problem there. The dr. said that it mightve been a lab error. THat really irritated me. I was thinking there was something wrong just to hear that.As far as the diabetes goes after doing the more extensive test the dr. ( not even the one that I had been seeing) says it was just a little high but nothing to worry about right now. My body just takes a little longer than most to digest the sugars. To just not eat white bread, white rice, or anything high in carbs. Drs tell ppl that all the time anyway, right?Guess I am tired just from what I thought. Not sleeping well at night. Staying up late, getting up early and chasing and playing with my kiddos all day and doin the chores and stuff around the house that need to be done.Next I am off to the dentist to get all my dental work taken care of that I need to have done.

this week

Just yesterday my 2 yar old daughter got ahold of a blue sharpie writing all over herself and the walls in her room.She also wrote on the wood cabinets in the kitchen and the dishwasher. It only took her a few minutes to do but an hour or so to clean it up. I still did not get it off of the dishwasher.

Monday Pennie got a medal in gymnastics. It was so great. Made her feel really proud. Took at pic of her wearing her first medal. Will post it soon.

Hopefully, one day next week I will have all the answers to the lab work and test s that I have had done these last two weeks.

Dance recital 2009

This is the only group picture of the girls that we got where the girls were almost all looking at the camera.

Pennie finally had her dance recital this past Saturdasy night. The little girls and the one little boy that was in dance this year did really great. I teared up a little when she first went on stage. It was a lot work being one of the Moms backstage QUICKLY changing from ballet to tap shoes on 11 girls wihin a few minutes. There was only 2 moms for this age group back stage. I missed a few of the other routines while I was back there but I at least did see both of Pennies performances.

my health

I went to the dr two weeks ago for that pain in the neck. Being it was the first time that I saw him he wanted to do some blood work and see how everything was for me. THey called this morning saying that the dr wanted me to come ins o that he could discuss the results with me. I made the appt for a few hours later and then went to see him. HE said I have hypothyroidism and will probably but me on meds for that. My thyroids are a little swollen so I have to go get an ultrasound soon and see what the problem is with that. He also said that my sugar level was high. I had to fast before doing these tests. I haveto go back and do more blood work for the thyroid and fast again to do the two hour glucose test to make sure whether or not I am a diabetic. Hew said that would explain why I am so sleepy alot here lately and totally drained of any real energy.
I am a little scared and worried but am sure all will work out OK. at least , I hope it will.

Gymnastics

Took Pennie to gymnastics for the first time yesterday. She totally LOVED it!! As soon as we got out of class she was ready to go back in. So we will be doing both dance and gymnastics for the next two weeks. when dance is over.

THen it will be just gymnastics till August when we start dance again!!

Mothers Day Lunch!!

Not much going on for me, personally.
My husband, girls, and in-laws all went out to lunch yesterday for Mothers Day. It was great!!
THat was my Mothers Day.
Tonight Pennie starts gymnastics. Only 2 weeks left of dance before her recital then no more dance till August.
My Mom is being her same ole self. Rude and not happy unless she is starting trouble and keeping me stressed.

Pains in the neck

I have been having a pain in the neck for a few weeks solid now. It is getting better but still hurts. Hopefully tomorrow when I go to the Dr I will get an answer to the problem.

Today we are supposed to be getting the costumes for Pennies 2nd dance recital. It it less th an a monthaway and still no dress.

my little girl, weather

Took Julie to see her pediatrician Tuesday for her2 year check up and she is doing fine. But what suprised me was when we had to go to th e lab and they drew blood to do a CBC and to check her for anemia. She sat in my lap and even though I held her tight and was prepared for her to cry when they stuck her with the needle. She sat their and watched them poke her and withdraw two vials of blood and she NEVER even shed a single tear. The phlebotomists said that she acted better than most adults do. It really shocked me!!


Hope that you guys did well during the bad weather we had Wednesday night. We lost power that night around 8:30 and it was not turned back on till around 6:30 Thursday morning! It was a reminder of not to long ago!! The girls loved it being dark, though. THey had fun playing with it dark and only a candle to lite the way.

My little girls birthday

It is so hard to believe that my little girl will be 2 tomorrow. She is getting so big!
Her party is hopefully gonnab e great in two weeks.

Monster Jam, Julies first kiss

The above picture was what Jule did when a friend came over and brought her kids. Jacob is 5 months younger than Julie. They had never even net before. HOW ADORABLE!!!!!!!!

This is the girls in front of one of their favorites. They also liked the turtle one. Which is driven by the son of gravdiggers driver. The girls had a blast in the pit and watching the show.

What women do

I cannot believe the things that we as women go thru to have a baby. With both of my girls I thought their deliveries were different. I had two C-sections. Both were by force for different reasons.
My cousin in Florida went in Wednesday , on her birthday, to have her son. They gave her Pitocin but it did not work. Thursday they broke her water but she did not have her son till Friday morning. She was in labor 22 hours from the time that her water was broke.
That was a LONG time. I was not able to even attempt a delivery like that. She is a strong woman!!!!

Big Christmas gift

Sore finger

I said goodbye to 2008 by slamming my finger shut in the truck door. It does not hurt to type with it or anything but if I touch it just right it hurts and at the first joint it still a little bit swollen. It also has that numb/ tingling feelng whenever something touches it. Sometimes agter typing or doing alot with the finger it hurts. Wish I knew why. Wonder if I need to go see a Dr?

Did not kill anything at the deer lease at all this year. Maybe next year.
